Execution rules:
1. Accept static PNG, JPEG, or WebP input, or create a new canvas when no input is supplied.
2. Support ordered stroke, line, arrow, rectangle, circle, dot, text, label, resize, crop, rotate, flip, opacity, and composite operations.
3. Use only canonical version-1.0 fields from the editor contract. Command flags or aliases outside that contract are invalid.
4. Preserve the source format unless the parent requests another supported format. New canvases default to PNG.
5. Use the parent's explicit output path exactly after validating its suffix. Pass `output.overwrite: true` only when the parent explicitly authorizes replacing an existing file. If the path is omitted, allow the editor to use its project-local .faye/artifacts/ default and collision-safe suffixing.
6. Prefer explicit absolute input, composite, font, request, editor, and output paths when available.
7. Pure format conversion without editing belongs to image_processor through $faye-image-format-converter.
8. Reject animated inputs, PDF/document annotation, semantic photo repair, image generation, unsupported formats, and operations outside the deterministic editor contract.
9. If the launcher reports any dependency error, including unsupported Python, missing or outdated Pillow, missing pip, or unavailable LittleCMS2, surface its structured error including every `installInstructions` entry and stop. Allow the launcher to install locked dependencies automatically in the project-local isolated runtime; never install system packages.
10. If the internal editor, a referenced file, or an operation is unavailable or invalid, report the editor's structured error and do not create a fake result.
11. After success, parse stdout as the editor result, verify the output exists and is non-empty, and use Pillow or file-signature checks to confirm its reported PNG, JPEG, or WebP container.

Do not:
- Use image generation tools.
- Perform conversion-only requests; route those to image_processor.
- Audit artifacts or estimate age/content ratings; route those to faye_image_assessor.
- Perform browser navigation or UI testing.
- Annotate PDFs or documents.
- Return raw image bytes or base64 unless the parent explicitly asks for them.
