Informational image age ratings

Estimate image age/content ratings by analogy to five named systems and explain the visible causes in validated JSON.

An image assessor examines visible content while a deterministic runtime normalizes the request, resolves the selected systems, and validates the result. The default covers MPA, PEGI, EIRIN, CERO, and IMDA; callers can select systems, cause reporting, and supported summary options.

When to use

Use this only for an explicitly requested informational image rating estimate, with the literal $faye-image-age-rating in the request.

What to provide

  • The images and an explicit $faye-image-age-rating invocation.
  • Any reliable medium or intended-use context, selected rating systems if you do not want all five, and desired cause or summary options.

Expected results

  • Strict JSON with stable identifiers, system display labels, rating estimates, visible causes, and stated limitations.
  • Optional concise summaries in the supported output modes, after the result passes contract validation.

Requirements and limits

Before you start

  • Only an explicit $faye-image-age-rating mention activates the skill.
  • The bundled faye_image_assessor and the parent-operated Python validator must be available.
  • Python 3.10 or newer with venv/ensurepip.
  • Pillow 12.3.0 or newer with LittleCMS2, accessed through the plugin’s Python launcher. Locked wheels are installed in the project-local environment.
  • FAYE_WORKSPACE_ROOT identifies the project for runtime setup and local-image preflight.

Scope and limitations

  • These are not official ratings, certification, legal conclusions, moderation decisions, or viewer age verification.
  • Contract validation checks the output's structure and consistency, not the correctness of a visual judgment.
  • Focused cause reporting does not narrow the rating basis. PEGI interactive risks need visible interface evidence or reliable caller context.
